Senior Sarah Vasko has represented her school with honesty and sportsmanship on the high school Girls’ Lacrosse team as an upperclassman. She works extremely hard to include everyone in team bonding events and encourages everyone to play to their full potential. She always looks out for her teammates and makes sure that the team culture is always strong.
Vasko, or “V”, has been playing lacrosse since she was eight years old and has loved it ever since. She has been playing competitively since she was in sixth grade and pushed it toward her main sport right before high school. During the season, she practices every day; during the off season, it’s hard during the winter but she makes sure that she practices at least three days a week. Her goal for the upcoming season is to ultimately have fun; there will be 16 seniors on the team and she wants it to be the best one yet.
Sarah will forever be remembered as a hard worker, an inclusive teammate, and a competitive student-athlete at Unionville Highschool. One advice for underclassment, “Work as hard as you can, it will eventually pay off.” Sarah Vasko is furthering her lacrosse career at Columbia University. We wish her the best of luck!
