Athlete of the Month: Tommy Robinson
By Reagan Wilson
Senior Tommy Robinson has helped represent his school with resilience, hard work, ethic, and sportsmanship on the high school Boys’ Wrestling team as a captain. He’s worked extremely hard to include everyone on the team by supporting team dinners and the haunted house, a fundraiser that the team hosts every year. Robinson has always looked out for his teammates and made sure that the team culture is always strong.
Robinson, “the golden dome,” has been wrestling since he was in eighth grade and has loved it ever since. During the season, he practices every day except Sunday, and during the off season, he practices four days a week at a private club. His final year on the team, Robinson has qualified for regionals, and became the Chestmont champion.
Robinson will be remembered as a hardworking, inclusive, and competitive student-athlete at the high school. One piece of advice for underclassmen from Robinson is: “Be confident in your abilities.” Tommy Robinson is furthering his wrestling career at Washington & Lee University. We wish him the best of luck!
