By RIPE Editors
The wait is over! On February 23, 2026, Vogue revealed the highly anticipated theme of the 2026 Met Gala: “Costume Art.” Here is what we should expect and our collective predictions.
For those who are unfamiliar, the Met Gala is a highly anticipated annual event hosted by Vogue held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Every year, Vogue invites A-list celebrities to participate in the fundraiser for The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. However, to make it exciting, these attendees all have to try their hand at the niche and perfected theme. So this year, we will see each and every interpretation of the theme, “Costume Art.” The intention of this theme is for all of the attendees to consider all of the depictions of a dressed body.

- Beyoncé

- Wearable art/sculptural looks
