With fall underway, the NBA season is finally here. The season starts on October 21, and there has been plenty of news and moves that make this season an important one. Let's take a quick recap and see what to expect for the next year ahead.

First, we look forward to seeing what the number one pick, Cooper Flagg, can do with the veteran stars on the Mavericks' roster: Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis, and Klay Thompson. They also have one of the best frontcourts in the league, consisting of Daniel Gafford, Derrick Lively, and previously mentioned Anthony Davis.

In California, Lakers' head coach, JJ Redick stated, "I'm trying to form consistent habits." Redick believes the team needs to work on having habits to make the right move every time. There have been plenty of moves for the Los Angeles Lakers, Marcus Smart, and, notably, Deandre Ayton signed with the Lakers.

Meanwhile, across the state, can the Clippers perform with their aging star powers Chris Paul (40), James Harden (36), Bradley Beal (32), and Kawhi Leonard (34)?

Injuries, injuries, and more injuries - the past NBA season saw many players lose a season: stars Damian Lillard, Tyrese Haliburton, and Jayson Tatum will all miss the 25-26 season due to Achilles injuries. Both Kyrie Irving of the Dallas Mavericks and Fred VanVleet have torn their ACLs and are not expected to return until 2026.

The Celtics are in disarray: their general manager traded away stars Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday for younger, cheaper players who aren't nearly as good. With Tatum out, we should see the Celtics hopping on the struggle bus. However, it wouldn't be surprising if they became good again in two to four years.

The Rockets have an impressive offense, fueled by Alpheren Sengun and Kevin Durant. However, it's important not to forget that the Rockets had to give up some good depth for the aging star, which could hurt them in the long run.

Finally, the Magic are poised for a strong season, and possible playoff run. Faced with an easy Eastern Conference, especially with their only competition, the Celtics, plagued by disarray. Desmond Bane's arrival in the off-season fulfilled the Magic's much-needed guard role as well.

The 2025 2026 NBA season is looking to be an eventful one with many strong players, coaches, and rosters. This season will be an exciting one to watch with the many new additions.
