The Unionville Chadds-Ford community came together for an unforgettable evening at the Unionville Elementary School (UES) Fall Fest on Friday, October 10. From 4:30 to 7:00 PM, families filled the school grounds with laughter, music, and excitement as they enjoyed the crisp fall air and a night packed with fun activities.
UES Principal Mrs. Michelle Lafferty said, "I'm pleased to report on the success of the Unionville Elementary PTO Fall Fest." The festival grounds buzzed with energy. Kids played carnival-style games, created masterpieces at the arts and crafts tables, and lined up for the always-popular hayride. The photo booth captured countless smiles, glitter tattoos sparkled under the lights, and mini pumpkin decorating was a huge hit. One of the biggest highlights of the evening was a special visit from the elementary school mascot, Louie the Star, who brought extra joy and school spirit to the celebration. Families enjoyed delicious food from the concession stand, including pizza, hot dogs, pretzels, apple cider, and sweet local apples. The Kona Ice Truck was a refreshing stop for many, while the UES Community Bake Sale offered a table full of homemade goodies. The UES Spirit Wear Booth was also a popular stop, with families grabbing shirts, hats, stickers, and more to show their UES pride.
Mrs. Laura Toner, the elementary school counselor, said, "The event was very well attended by families, who enjoyed a variety of activities, food treats, and a hayride. Louie the UE Star also made an appearance, and the photo booth and Lego play areas were particularly popular with the students." Most importantly, the night wouldn't have been possible without the volunteers. From setting up booths to running games and managing the bake sale, every helper played a vital role in making the event a success. The Fall Fest was a celebration of community, with families coming together to laugh, play, and make memories.
