This year, the Unionville Community Fair celebrated its 101-year anniversary. The fair features a variety of stalls, games, and activities, to highlight local agriculture, talent, and community involvement. It serves as an opportunity for residents and visitors of different generations to gather, participate in events, and learn about the region's agricultural background. "There are activities for everyone, no matter their age, and I love to meet new people there," said junior Cynthia "CC" Cao.

The fair is organized by a group of volunteers. "We plan all year round and we meet monthly," said Michelle O'Donnell, a member of the board. "We're always looking for volunteers. If you have something that you enjoy or like, you would be in charge of that, or you could help [with another stand]." O'Donnell has been going to the fair ever since she was a baby and she joined the board four years ago.

The high school traditionally sends student volunteers and clubs to the fair. For example, this year, Henna Club was among the stands. Junior Paridhi Jain, one of the presidents of the club, attended the fair. "My favorite part is definitely applying henna," said Jain. "But I also really like the variety of food that's here, so it's really easy to be here for a long amount of time."

One of the most anticipated events of the fair is the annual baking competition. Amateur bakers put their culinary skills to the test and make cakes, pies, and breads. The entries are judged on taste, appearance, and originality.

In addition to competitions, the fair also features a variety of demonstrations and workshops. Local experts share their knowledge and skills in areas such as gardening, woodworking, and fiber arts. "[The fair] is a great show of our community," said visitor Amanda Arrighetta. "It really displays what's great about Unionville and the surrounding area. For people both here and from out of town, it makes a fun family day."
